Nashville Serving Day 6

Today was a pretty epic day! We all got a little bit of extra rest, for what it’s worth. As per usual, we all took a minute to get all ready but eventually we all got to the vans, and headed to Nashville Shores (the waterpark). We all had a blast during our time there. It would say it felt like a refreshing award for our accomplishments this week serving this community. Following the waterpark, we stopped at local taco truck for lunch. We then rode back to the hotel to chill, take showers, and just rest.

We also did our devotional with our hotel pods. After about 2 hours at the hotel, we headed back to the Proclamation Church for our final night of VBS! It was fun seeing the relationships built between us and the kids because there were no problems and everyone was having fun. To celebrate the end of the “Kids Week”, we had a local snow cone truck to give everyone free snow cones. There was also ice cream in the snow cones so that was pretty amazing (highly recommend).

The rest of the VBS was pretty laid back so it was a breeze. After the kids left, we took down the decorations for the camp and ate leftovers from the whole week as our dinner (shoutout to the kitchen crew for making some pretty delicious meals this week!). After dinner, we all did worship and shared the rest of our testimonies. It was definitely moving to see each person’s story and seeing them be truly vulnerable about it. That was about all for the day, so we rode back to the hotel and just crashed. I definitely speak for all of us on this trip when I say that this trip has been an amazing experience. It was awesome to see Jesus work in the Nashville community however big or small that may be. Whether that be picking weeds or sharing testimonies, Jesus has moved in this place and we are all truly grateful of this trip.
