THE STORY OF JESUS: Kingdom & Power
Pastor Josh will be back with us this weekend to begin a brand new teaching series from the Gospel of Luke. There have been many people and events that changed the course of humanity, but everything falls short of Jesus, the Son of God. Together, we’ll explore the hallmarks of His’ life, the power of His ministry and the obstacles He faced. And we’ll discover how we can follow Him more closely in 2025.
SATURDAYS IN THE HEART OF THE CITY
Our Downtown Campus is growing! We’re excited to launch a 6 PM Saturday night service this weekend. A third service means room for more people to experience the hope of Jesus and the joy of belonging to a caring community. It also means more opportunities to serve. STEP INTO COMMUNITY
The second chapter of the book of Acts gives us a glimpse into the life of the first-century church: Christ-followers gathering in homes, studying God’s word, breaking bread and participating in close community. What if we could follow their example? That’s where Community Groups come in! Groups gather in homes throughout the year, opening up the scriptures, doing life together, and growing in faith and understanding. New groups kick off next week, so now is the time to join! This weekend also kicks off a Year of Story at Woodmen! We’ll share a fresh story from the Woodmen community every week, and we’ll get a glimpse of how our days are being written by God, the master storyteller! THIRD THURSDAYS HEADING DOWNTOWN
If you’re a young adult, Third Thursdays are just for you. Join us on the night of September 18 for music and Christ-centered teaching centered around the challenges and hopes of life from college age through your 20s. DISCIPLESHIP INSTITUTE: UNITED IN CHRIST
If you’d like to dive deeper into the way of Jesus, to better understand the core beliefs and practices that have united Christ followers throughout the centuries, join us for our fall Discipleship Institute Foundations Course. We’ll meet on Monday nights at Heights, beginning next week. Ready to make a difference in the city where God has rooted us? The people of Woodmen will join with dozens of local churches to meet needs all around town for CityServe Saturday on October 4. We’ll help neighborhood schools and other organizations as part of the COSILoveYou movement. Together we’ll spark hope and bless neighbors in need.
