Mexico June 25 Day 3

Hola amigos y amigas!! Woah today was not only hard but truly a blessing. We started off the morning with some fresh pineapple and some amazing quesadillas. Today was a FULL DAY of work. A couple of breaks here and there but we all showed up. Lucky we got a nice a long break for lunch having chicken and rice with some traditional guacamole and tortillas. While the fellows were saving us ladies from the sun and the weeds, we used brooms on the ceilings and walls to get ready to paint and clean the base. Some of the children were helping the team paint the walls and the ceilings. Me and one of the girls worked together to get a roller to coperate with us!! It was amazing to see how Gods works even through a language barrier. We not only bonded with our team, but also with the people who surronded us. Me personally, I learned some new spanish from a little girl who would not leave me alone. Did i understand most things she was saying, well no… BUT!… the love was 100% there. We had dinner with the people who lived at base because it was a girl (elenas) birthday. We had some club sandwiches with tres leches cake. As we head into debrief, we get into the emotional part of the evening. We sing some of the most heartfelt songs and hear the most heartfelt testimonies. We are all exicted to see the Lord work more for the rest of our week here. Talk to you soon!
