Zambia JULY 2025

WHATS UP GANG!! Last update from Zambia Team. We have truly enjoyed the time we have been able to spend here and the incredible opportunities we've been given. Yesterday was our last full day of serving. After a great chapel in the morning, we went on a major side quest to Chaminuka Wildlife Reserve. We got to do a safari, and we saw cheetah, a lion, wildebeests, a bunch of different types of African deer(we don't remember the actual names but they were pretty). Then we got to see 3 elephants and it was super duper cool being able to be so close to them without anything between them and us. Next we chased giraffes and got some sick flicks. After that we headed back to the main area and ate lunch. After lunch, we went to a boat and went hunting for water lilies. Caroline and Micah almost fell off the boat but luckily they can swim. Madi cannot.... Anywho, we went back to the main building, and after opting out of taking pictures with the horses, we got in the van to head home. On the way out we saw the cutest little monkey just looking back at us from a trail next to the road. Somehow, the same road we had been on earlier, had become unexplainably bumpy, many of us being launched from our seats as we tried to sleep. We eventually made it back to Cure and immediately headed into the ward to talk to the kids because we hadn't seen them all day. We spent a lot of time hanging out with our bestie Paul and some of us were able to take the time to pray over him. The rest of us went around saying bye to the other kids, we got to say bye to Joyce, whose surgery we got to spectate the day before. Then we had a Zambian delicacy( Macaroni and Cheese) which was followed up by our last debrief. Currently, we are remaking the frosting for auntie Lillians birthday cake since it didn't work out to well last night.

We have all been truly blessed on this trip, not only have we gotten to spend the week getting to know the amazing staff of Beit Cure, But we have also gotten to see the powerful work that God is doing here in the community and through the love the staff show to the patients. We are all sad to be leaving the people here who we've been building relationships with throughout our time here. As we come back to the states we are going to be sharing more of our stories from our trip, and we also ask that you will keep Cure in your hearts and pray whenever you can. We truly are exited to see what God has in plan in the years to come.
