Does the Old Testament intimidate you, or do you have a hard time understanding God's purposes in some of the stories you have been taught?

The Promised One (the first book in a series of 5 OT books of discovery) provides a fresh look at the book of Genesis, leading us in discovering how its stories, symbols, people, and promises point to Christ. Over ten weeks of study, participants will see Christ as the agent of creation, the offspring who will crush the head of the serpent, the ark of salvation, the source of righteousness.

"Doing this study opened my eyes to the wisdom layered within the Old Testament - her questions unlocked a new level of understanding for me, equipping me with more confidence to study Old Testament Scripture that can sometimes be intimidating."

"I have enjoyed how Nancy Guthrie brings alive the big purpose God had from the beginning to save us from ourselves. his deep love to provide a way of intimacy with himself! She does a great job at giving the correct perspective where people can see God as harsh. She helps us see him as actually very loving." (Christianbook.com)

Study time may vary between 3-5 hours.
